Hi! I’m Erika but my friends call me Ricki so you can call me which ever you prefer!

I prefer a leather jacket, deep conversation, natural stones, breakfast foods and when the light hits just right! Beautiful images, textures and color palettes are some of the things that spark that creative fire in my soul and are just a few of the things I try to incorporate in my work.

I am a graduate of Columbus College of Art & Design- Magna Cum Laude, with a BFA in Photography and a minor in Cinematic Arts. Currently residing in Columbus, Ohio, I specialize in editorial portraiture and product photography. I found my love of photography at a very young age when I was given a plastic camera as a 3rd birthday present. As a child I would point and shoot anything in my surrounding environment! Going through rolls of film constantly (sorry mom and dad.) Years later my interests shifted slightly and I started finding inspiration in the stories or possible stories of the people and objects around me. That’s when I started capturing images in a new light, literally. *pun completely intended*

Today I use different methods of shaping light to create compelling and dynamic images. I am currently working for Abercrombie and Fitch in New Albany, OH as a Photographer and Stylist while freelancing and working on my passion projects on the side. I’m constantly finding new ways to highlight the key qualities of my subject matter through professional lighting practices while still remembering the magic in some of the first images I ever shot on my little plastic camera and the beauty those candid moments produced. *see photos below
